St. John Elementary was originally founded in 1949 as a parish school and in 2000, the school reopened as part of the Jubilee Schools initiative. The school operates year-round which enables a comprehensive curriculum in addition to the low adult-to-child ratio within the classrooms. Classroom computers enhance the core curriculum of religion, math, language arts, social studies, spanish, and science, and special programs help develop St. John students into responsible young citizens. Mrs. Teddi Niedzwiedz, principal at St. John Elementary, believes that “we are all a part of God’s family, regardless of race, socioeconomic standing, or level of education. Here at St. John we try to be the arms of Jesus reaching out to all.”
