All about St. Augustine
St. Augustine Elementary School strives to launch productive and spiritually grounded young adults through Christian values, academic achievement, and exposure to cultural activities and experiences. In a Christ-centered atmosphere, the school offers daily religious instruction, weekly celebration of Mass with the parish family, and numerous daily opportunities for community prayer. The school was founded in 1937, closed in 1993, and reopened in 1999 as the first of the “Jubilee Schools” of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis. St. Augustine School believes that all children in the community, regardless of cultural background or economic status, deserve an education that will benefit their minds, assist their spiritual growth, and prepare them to take their places as responsible and productive members of society.
