Thanksgiving Food Drive
On Saturday, November 22, 2009 the Blue Streak Scholarship Fund volunteers converged on De La Salle School and Holy Names of Jesus and Mary School with Thanksgiving meals for the families of these two schools along with the families of St. Therese the Little Flower School. The volunteers spent many hours working with Rick James and Piggly Wiggly Supermarket on Madison to assemble the meals and deliver them to the schools. The morning was spent with the volunteers and many of their children handing out the meals to 315 families of these schools. The more we collect, the more families we will feed!
